Using Promo Codes & Group Discounts
TicketFlo offers multiple ways to offer discounts and incentivize ticket purchases. All discount features are found in the Promo Codes tab within Event Customization.
Promo Codes
Promo codes are discount codes that customers enter at checkout.
Creating a Promo Code
- Go to your event's Manage page
- Navigate to the Promo Codes tab
- Click Create Promo Code
- Configure the code:
- Code: The text customers will enter (e.g., "EARLYBIRD20")
- Discount Type: Percentage or fixed amount
- Discount Value: The amount off (e.g., 20% or $10)
- Usage Limit: Maximum total uses (leave blank for unlimited)
- Per-Customer Limit: How many times one customer can use it
- Valid From/To: Date range when the code is active
- Ticket Types: Apply to specific tickets or all tickets
- Click Save
Best Practices for Promo Codes
- Use memorable, brand-relevant codes
- Set expiration dates to create urgency
- Track which codes perform best
- Create codes for specific marketing channels to measure ROI
- Consider limiting to first-time buyers
Group Discounts
Automatic discounts applied when customers buy multiple tickets.
Setting Up Group Discounts
- In the Promo Codes tab, find the Group Discounts section
- Click Add Group Discount
- Configure:
- Minimum Quantity: Tickets needed to trigger discount (e.g., 10)
- Discount Type: Percentage or fixed amount per ticket
- Discount Value: The discount amount
- Add multiple tiers for increasing discounts (e.g., 10+ gets 10%, 20+ gets 15%)
Example Group Discount Structure

When to Use Group Discounts
- Corporate/business events
- School or organization bookings
- Family events
- Team registrations
- Conference group rates
Vouchers & Credits
Issue store credits or gift vouchers to customers.
Creating Vouchers
- In the Promo Codes tab, find Vouchers & Credits
- Click Create Voucher
- Enter:
- Recipient Email: Who receives the voucher
- Amount: The voucher value
- Expiry Date: When it expires (optional)
- Customer receives email with their voucher code

- Compensation for event issues
- Loyalty rewards
- Gift cards
- Refund alternatives
- Contest prizes
Combining Discounts
By default, promo codes and group discounts do NOT stack. You can configure this:
- Enable stacking in advanced promo code settings
- Or create specific codes that work with group discounts
Tracking Performance
Monitor your discounts in the Analytics tab:
- Codes used and revenue impact
- Group discount adoption rate
- Top-performing promo codes
- Redemption trends over time
