Collecting Post-Event Feedback with Surveys

Gather valuable feedback from attendees to improve future events.

Enabling Surveys

  1. Go to your event's Manage page
  2. Navigate to the Surveys tab
  3. Toggle Enable Post-Event Survey to ON
  4. Configure when and what to ask

Survey Configuration

Timing

Send After: When to send the survey email

  • Immediately after event ends
  • 1 day after (recommended)
  • 2-3 days after

Tip: 1 day after is optimal - attendees remember details but have had time to reflect.

Survey Questions

Create custom questions or use templates:

Question Types Available:

  • Rating scale (1-5 or 1-10)
  • Multiple choice
  • Yes/No
  • Text (short answer)
  • Text area (long response)

Recommended Questions

  1. Overall Satisfaction: "How would you rate your overall experience?" (1-5 stars)
  2. NPS: "How likely are you to recommend this event?" (0-10)
  3. Venue Feedback: "How was the venue/location?"
  4. Content Quality: "Did the event meet your expectations?"
  5. Organization: "How well organized was the event?"
  6. Open Feedback: "What could we improve?"
  7. Return Intent: "Would you attend again?"

Viewing Results

Survey Dashboard

Access results in the Surveys tab:

  • Response rate percentage
  • Average ratings
  • Response breakdown by question

Exporting Data

  1. Click Export Responses
  2. Choose format (CSV or Excel)
  3. Download for external analysis

Improving Response Rates

Email Best Practices

  • Clear subject line: "How was [Event Name]? Share your feedback (2 min)"
  • Keep it short: 5-7 questions maximum
  • Mobile-friendly: Many respond on phones
  • Express gratitude: Thank them for attending
