Deleting Events
Deleting Events
Learn how to safely delete or archive events.
Before You Delete
⚠️ Warning: Deleting an event is permanent and cannot be undone.
Consider these alternatives:
- Unpublish instead of delete (keeps data intact)
- Archive for historical records
- Cancel if the event won't happen but you want to keep records
When to Delete
Delete events only when:
- It's a test event with no real data
- You created it by mistake
- No tickets have been sold
- You're absolutely certain you don't need the data
How to Delete
- Go to the Events tab
- Find the event to delete
- Click More Options (⋮)
- Select Delete Event
- Type the event name to confirm
- Click Delete Permanently
Events with Ticket Sales
If your event has ticket sales, you'll see a warning:
- Number of tickets sold
- Total revenue
- Number of attendees affected
Recommendation: Instead of deleting:
- Unpublish the event
- Process refunds if needed
- Contact attendees
- Keep the event as a record
Permissions Required
Only these roles can delete events:
- Organization Owner
- Organization Admin
Editors and Viewers cannot delete events.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete an event:
